Preparations for my upcoming solo show in May this year are under way. There's so much to paint and so little time. The timeline is daunting, the process sometimes frustrating, but the outcome is always something I'm proud of.
Every artwork has its challenges, but there is always something new I learn about myself, the techniques, the process, and the colours. This latest artwork, entitled 'Dreamer' is featured on the largest canvas I've worked on thus far. A whopping 180 x 200cm! The feeling behind what it's about I hope will become obvious to the viewer, however I'll explain it after I'm finished ;) Follow me on Instagram @livingwithyoo and @haejinyooart for regular updates.
Another painting. Another happy customer :)

During October I was commissioned to create a painting for a new music video for Australian Soul Sensation, Luke Antony.
Luke releases his take on Cyndi Lauper's iconic song, 'True Colors'. Featured in the official video are Australian Artist Haejin Yoo (me) and The World's First Super Model with Down Syndrome, Madeline Stuart. It was such a fun experience to be a part of. Having never done live painting before, I was a little nervous, but planned the composition and the colours well in advance. I hope you enjoy the video.
Here's on of my newest artworks called Autumn Fall. Autumn Fall is a mixture of white and grey acrylics and gold leafing with red and green washes creates an abstract wintery forest that may leave you with the desire for a bowl of hot soup and a toasty fireplace. The original is available for sale at $1,350 and comes framed in a delicate and sharp gold wooden frame. Contact me for more info. This artwork and many others from the Seasons & Places series are on display at Taylor Square, Darlinghurst for the Sydney Fringe Festival 2016 until Monday 19th September.
